Below are some real stories from actual members about their experiences at Bring It On CrossFit:

Yep, it’s a cult. Absolutely.  I want my family, best friends and favourite colleagues to be part of it.  I want it to touch all aspects of their life.  I want the closet people in my life to experience the rewards, benefits, community inclusiveness and positivity.  What is “it” you ask – Crossfit of course! And if you define a cult as ‘an excessive admiration for a particular thing’, I’m definitely signed up!

I have been part of the Bring It On Crossfit community for just on 14 months. Through the great coaching team, a carefully planned and scaleable training programme and an even more powerful member base, I have seen greatness occur.  If you don’t want to call it greatness, call it achieving things that individuals would never dream of achieving and building some great friendships along the way.

True, I came to Crossfit with a bit of a sporting background, but I had no idea about many of the things that the Coach wanted me to try.  I even had to Google the acronyms to even understand what they were talking about or what I was install for at my next session!  From the moment you arrive you are inducted into this supportive community.  When someone is struggling, you help them along, if they achieve personal record, you celebrate with them, as they do with all of your struggles and achievements!

The greatest testimony that I can give is that I have encouraged my children to participate in Crossfit Kids.  In a safe and supportive environment, I have seen their physical development and confidence skyrocket.  They are not gym junkies; they are not over coached, success driven kids.  As every parent does, I want the very best for my kids, I want them to do good things in a positive, supportive community.  At Bring It On Crossfit you have this recipe for success.

Join the cult, you won’t regret it.

"We were fortunate enough to win the Goulburn Valley Football League’s premiership last year. A great achievement, but in order to stay ahead of the competition, we needed an edge.  As part of the 2015 pre-season camp, we came to Bring It On Crossfit.  We wanted the players to be pushed outside of their comfort zone, we wanted a variety of movements to test all levels of fitness – strength, power, flexibility, endurance and speed across all major body parts and we wanted something different, something to add variety.

Within the Crossfit context, Jared was able to construct a challenging programme that complimented other football skill and running based training that we had planned for the camp.  The results were awesome.  This community aspect of Crossfit that Jared discussed with us supported our team values and culture.  Always support your team mate, always accept a challenge, if you are doing it easy, bring your mate along, if you are struggling (and we all will struggle at times), accept the support of others.

Jared listened to what we needed and delivered a programme to suit a broad range of abilities.  For any sporting group wanting to build a supportive culture and a high performing team, I cannot recommend Jared and his team at Bring It On Crossfit more highly.  I couldn’t be happier with the start of our 2015 campaign! "

"When I started researching the idea of CrossFit the words that kept appearing repeatedly were community, motivation and excitement. At the time I was lacking motivation having spent the past few years in a regular gym following a PT program that no longer provided the enjoyment or results that it once had.

When I walked into Bring It On CrossFit I knew straight away that it was a place I wanted to be a part of, both the coaches and members made me feel like I belonged from the very first session and still do 12 months on. I find it easy to motivate myself to do the WODS and look forward to making it into the box each day and if I am having an off day and need some extra motivation I know that the people around me will help get me where I need to be. CrossFit provides me with an hour to focus on myself, to work on becoming the best person I can be when I step through the door.

A huge part of what I believe keeps people coming back to BIO is the coaches. They work hard to build relationships and get to know what drives each and every one of their members. The coaches are also constantly adapting and expanding on new programs like the Olympic Lifting Classes, CrossFit Kids, Barbell Free Classes and events such as the In House Teams Throw down, Partners Competitions, 8 Week Teams Challenge Sunday Funday and Friday Night Lights for the CrossFit Open.

The Bring It On CrossFit community has continued to grow over the last year is full of supportive people. There is no judgement inside the box, no egos and no-one looking down their nose at your abilities, rather a group of people of all ages, sizes and backgrounds who want to see you try YOUR best and achieve your own success.

I love getting to witness the moment when someone has that ‘light bulb moment’, that little grin they get when they realise that they can do something that they’ve never done before – maybe it’s a skill they never thought they could master or a heavier weight that they’ve spent weeks refining their technique to achieve.

The decision to give CrossFit a go can be daunting, but it’s worth it."

"You’ve probably heard the term once or twice but never really understood what it means. CrossFit means different things for different people but the one theme they all have in common is the word community. From the minute you walk into a CrossFit box, people say hello and introduce themselves with a smile on their face. All that nervous energy you had beforehand is quickly pushed into the background. For me, that was exactly how I felt walking into Bring It On CrossFit the first time. And every time I walk into the box, there is no sense of judgement or fearing that everyone is going to laugh at me.

After getting over the initial nerves and meeting the head coach, it was time to get down to business. I stood in the back biting the inside of my cheek as the coach explained what the WOD (workout of the day) was. I couldn’t even get through the run and that was only the start of the warm up. Everything was new and so unfamiliar but there was a sense of excitement. I’d never felt this excited about working out before. The workout was just what I needed to really kick my butt into gear and change. And the movements were 100% scaled to fit me as a newbie and each day, the workout is different. The learning never stops.

The thing with CrossFit is that people have this idea of what goes on but really it’s the complete opposite. People judge before they even understand what it’s all about. CrossFit to me is not just showing up and doing the movements then going home. It’s proving to myself that I can do so much more than I ever thought I could and constantly improving on the previous day. The biggest attraction for me was the support I was getting from everyone around me. If you don’t have the support behind you, it becomes very hard to keep yourself motivated. Think about it, if you signed up to a normal gym, how many times would you actually get out of bed and go?

Each time I step into that box, whatever else is going on in my life doesn’t matter. All that matters is being better than I was the previous day and continuing to get fitter, faster and stronger. Once I had gotten used to the different movements and the lingo attached, I noticed the results. And you know what they say; once you see results it becomes addictive. That number on the scale isn’t the most important thing. What’s important to me is that I keep showing up and keep proving to myself that I can do it and that there are people in my corner helping me push through this journey I’ve started.

The team at Bring It On CrossFit aren’t just staff. They get to know who you are and what you can do. They get involved with their members and instead of just being coaches, they become friends. They promote everyone’s success and support through their downfalls. They’re always there to lend a hand or a comforting piece of advice.

CrossFit isn’t just a phase or the ‘in’ thing to do; it’s a lifestyle."
