1/4/2015 0 Comments CROSSFIT OPEN 2015 RAP-UP! The 2015 CrossFit Open came to a close this morning after 5 weeks of mentally and physically challenging WODs that tested (and re-tested) every Bring It On CrossFit athlete that took part. Every WOD brought out some hidden and not so hidden weaknesses and strengths and I know a number of athletes have gained a lot of inspiration and motivation for 2016’s open! This year incorporated the scaled division which had a number of pro’s and con’s but in the end helped encourage a number of BIOCF athletes to register and give the Open a go which is always a positive! We had an amazing 29 athletes register and complete this year’s CrossFit Open, up from 17 the year before and 3 in 2013. Each year the atmosphere and energy around the box during March gets better and better and this year was no different. Friday Night Lights was definitely the highlight of each week when the majority of athletes completing the Open WOD along with a huge support crew from the best CrossFit Community going around! As a coach and member of the BIOCF Community it was incredibly inspiring to watch and compete alongside each and every BIOCF athlete taking on whatever challenge Dave Castro threw at us even if it was just lots of wallballs and skipping! There were a number of highlights and PR’s along the way, and these are just a few that stood out for me:
Congratulations Bring It On CrossFit Team on a very successful 2015 CrossFit Open season! I am very happy and proud of how everyone competed and the progress athletes have made in the past 12 months. You are an incredible group of athletes with unbelievable potential and I can’t wait to see you all crush the rest of this year and the 2016 CrossFit Open!! Cheers, Jared.
